Christian (real name William Jason Reso) is a Canadian professional wrestler best known for his time in WWE and TNA (now Impact Wrestling). He began his career in the late 1990s and gained early recognition as a tag team specialist alongside Edge. Together, they became one of the most successful and entertaining tag teams of the Attitude Era, known for their comedic charisma and for competing in groundbreaking Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) matches. The duo won multiple tag team championships and helped redefine tag team wrestling.
Christian eventually stepped out on his own and built a solid singles career, winning the Intercontinental Championship, European Championship, and Hardcore Championship in WWE. In the mid-2000s, he moved to TNA, where he reached main-event status as Christian Cage, capturing the NWA World Heavyweight Championship twice and proving himself as a top-tier singles competitor.
He returned to WWE in 2009 and had a strong second run, eventually winning the World Heavyweight Championship in 2011. Known for his in-ring IQ, consistency, and ability to work with a wide range of opponents, Christian earned a reputation as one of wrestling’s most reliable and well-rounded performers.
After a long hiatus due to injury, he made a surprise return to the ring in 2021, later joining AEW, where he continues to compete and guide the next generation. Christian may not always have been in the spotlight, but his impact has lasted longer than most who were.
