Kane initially reacted with disbelief and hesitated when the match began. The Undertaker attacked with punches before taking the fight outside and hitting his leg drop across the ring apron. Back inside, he connected with corner clotheslines and attempted the Last Ride, but Kane escaped.
Kane gained control with a big boot, sidewalk slam, and flying clothesline. The two exchanged power offense before Kane caught The Undertaker and delivered a chokeslam. Instead of immediately following with a cover, Kane watched as The Undertaker suddenly sat up.
The Undertaker took control again with a flying clothesline and chokeslam. He then lifted Kane for the Tombstone Piledriver and connected for the pin. The victory completed The Undertaker’s return and ended the chapter that Kane had started by burying him at Survivor Series.
