WWF King of the Ring 1996

This was the first major PPV singles match in the feud between The Undertaker and Mankind and the match that established Mankind as a real danger to The Dead Man. Paul Bearer tried to use the urn on Mankind, accidentally struck Undertaker instead, and Mankind immediately applied the Mandible Claw to get the win. Because it came so early in Mankind’s WWF run, the upset mattered a lot in setting the tone for everything that followed.
