WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025

Wrestlepalooza 2025 took place on Saturday, September 20, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. It marked the first WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) in the U.S. to stream exclusively on the ESPN app, following the company’s landmark media rights deal. The event also brought back the long-dormant “Wrestlepalooza” name, originally used by ECW in the 1990s, giving it a fresh identity on WWE’s biggest stage.

The card was stacked with high-profile matches. Cody Rhodes defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre as their rivalry continued to intensify. John Cena squared off with Brock Lesnar in another chapter of their two-decade feud, framed as part of Cena’s farewell tour as he prepared to step away from full-time competition.

In the women’s division, Iyo Sky faced Stephanie Vaquer for the vacant WWE Women’s World Championship. The title had been relinquished after Naomi announced she was pregnant and would be stepping away to prepare for maternity leave. This match was Vaquer’s first Premium Live  Event (PLE) since joining the WWE after establishing herself in NJPW and CMLL.

A mixed tag team match added another layer of intrigue as CM Punk and AJ Lee reunited to take on Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, bringing together two of wrestling’s most influential real-life couples.

Another major tag team contest took place with The Usos reuniting to face The Vision (Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker). It was a match that balanced veteran chemistry against brute force and youthful momentum, with Breakker’s main-event rise hanging in the balance and questions lingering about whether The Usos’ bond could withstand the fallout from years of Bloodline drama.
