Matrick “Trick” Williams is a charismatic, athletic heavyweight who transitioned from college football into professional wrestling after signing with WWE in 2021. He initially appeared as the swagger-heavy hype man and tag partner for Carmelo Hayes in NXT, forming the “Trick Melo Gang” before branching out as a breakout singles babyface.

Williams gained momentum in 2023–2024 with the crowd-driven “Whoop That Trick” phenomenon, winning the NXT North American Championship and later the NXT Championship. This success led him to secure the NXT North American Championship, followed by the NXT Championship, reinforcing his status as one of NXT’s prominent talents.
