Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo Hayes is recognized as one of WWE NXT’s most decorated stars. Before moving up to WWE’s main roster in April 2024, he worked the New England independent promotions under the ring name Christian Casanova. There, he earned a reputation for laid-back confidence, sharp athleticism, and the feeling that every match he was in could steal the show.

His style mixes springboard attacks, tight striking, and calm body language, making him feel like a big-match performer even when he was wrestling in smaller venues.

After signing with WWE and adopting the name Carmelo Hayes, he quickly climbed the ranks in NXT. He unified the NXT Cruiserweight and North American Championships, held the North American title for long stretches, and eventually reached the top of the brand as NXT Champion.

By 2025, he had carried that momentum to the main roster, winning the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and picking up major wins over opponents such as Ricochet, Bron Breakker, and Johnny Gargano. Known for his control of live crowds and the confident catchphrase “Melo Don’t Miss,” he now stands as a key main roster player and a central figure for WWE’s next generation.
