Raquel Rodriguez

Raquel Rodriguez is an American powerhouse who wrestles for WWE on Raw. She was born Victoria González on January 12, 1991, in La Feria, Texas, and signed with WWE in October 2016 after training at the Performance Center. She debuted on NXT live events in January 2017 and later competed in both Mae Young Classic tournaments. These early years built the foundation for her strength-first style and steady rise.

Her breakout came in NXT on February 14th, 2021 at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day, when Rodriguez and Dakota Kai won the first Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. One month later, NXT General Manager William Regal introduced the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles on March 10, 2021 and crowned Kai and Rodriguez as the inaugural champions, though they lost the belts later that night.

Rodriguez then captured her first singles title by defeating Io Shirai in the Night 1 main event of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver on April 7, 2021.

Rodriguez moved to the main roster in 2022 and quickly won gold. On August 29, 2022, she and Aliyah defeated Dakota Kai and IYO SKY in the final of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament, which WWE launched on August 8th to crown new champions after the titles were vacated a few months prior.

As her main roster run continued, she most often teamed with Liv Morgan. Together they defeated Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus on Raw to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on April 10th, 2023, but had to vacate the belts on May 19th after Morgan suffered a shoulder injury.

Her own health briefly changed her pace in early 2024 when she revealed she had been diagnosed with mast cell activation syndrome. She returned for Raw on February 19th, 2024, and was able to enter the Elimination Chamber in Perth on February 24th after she won a Last Chance battle royal. However, by March, her symptoms began to flare again, leading to a 7-month hiatus.

She returned in October 2024 and aligned with The Judgment Day. Rodriguez and Morgan later regained the Women’s Tag Team Title, becoming the first team to reach four reigns together on April 21, 2025.

After Morgan was injured in June, Roxanne Perez replaced her as Rodriguez’s partner, giving Rodriguez a record six individual reigns with the championship across different partners. Rodriguez and Perez defended the titles into the summer before losing them to Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss on August 2nd, 2025 at SummerSlam.

Rodriguez wrestles a power game anchored by a one-arm powerbomb that WWE now bills as the Tejana Bomb. The move’s name was changed from the Chingona Bomb on SmackDown in May 2022. Her signature arsenal includes a fallaway slam, a big boot, and a corkscrew elbow into the corner.

Across NXT and the main roster, Rodriguez has built a resume that features an NXT Women’s Championship, multiple NXT Women’s Tag Team Title runs with Dakota Kai, and a record number of WWE Women’s Tag Team Title reigns spread across partners.

She remains active on Raw, working within The Judgment Day and leaning on brute strength, ring composure, and a decisive powerbomb to stay in the title picture.
