Nia Jax is a powerhouse wrestler and second cousin once removed to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Before entering the ring, she worked as a plus-size model and athlete, bringing a unique combination of strength, confidence, and charisma when she joined WWE’s NXT in 2015. Her imposing size and serious offense made her stand out immediately, as she dominated opponents like Bayley, Carmella, and Asuka during her developmental run.

After being drafted to Raw in 2016, Jax quickly became one of the most physically dominant competitors in the women’s division. Her brute-force style and ability to control the pace of matches made her a constant threat to top names such as Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, and Ronda Rousey. At WrestleMania 34 in 2018, she defeated Alexa Bliss to win the Raw Women’s Championship, marking the pinnacle of her early WWE career.

In 2020, Jax formed an uneasy alliance with Shayna Baszler, and the two went on to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship twice, defeating teams like Bayley & Sasha Banks and Nia’s longtime rival Asuka with Lana. Their dominance helped reestablish the tag division as a legitimate force in women’s wrestling.

After her release in November 2021, Jax took time away from wrestling, eventually returning to WWE in 2023 with a revamped look, more vicious attitude, and a destructive edge that emphasized her natural power. Her return storyline saw her targeting fan favorites like Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch, positioning herself once again as one of WWE’s most dangerous female athletes.

In May 2024, Jax won the Queen of the Ring Tournament, defeating Lyra Valkyria in the finals to claim the crown and a championship opportunity. The following summer, she defeated Bayley at SummerSlam 2024 to secure the WWE Women’s Championship. Although she eventually dropped the title in early 2025, the title reign reinforced her status as one of the most dominant women in the WWE.

Known for her punishing style, brutal power moves, and her devastating finisher The Annihilator (a modified Banzai Drop), Jax continues to intimidate opponents with her commanding presence and unapologetic intensity, remaining one of WWE’s most physically imposing competitors.
