Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens is a French-Canadian professional wrestler known for his in-ring ability, devastating power moves, and sharp promo skills. Despite his stocky build, Owens is agile and can execute moonsaults, superkicks, and high-flying maneuvers alongside his power-based offense.

Owens spent 14 years on the independent circuit before signing with WWE, becoming one of the most decorated indie wrestlers of his generation.

His legendary rivalry with El Generico (Sami Zayn) across ROH, PWG, and IWS helped define both men’s careers. In PWG, Owens held the World Championship a record three times and was a founding member of the influential stable Mount Rushmore alongside Adam Cole and The Young Bucks.

When he joined WWE’s NXT in 2014, Owens immediately reignited his rivalry with Zayn, attacking him after his NXT Championship victory and eventually defeating him for the title in a brutal match. As NXT Champion, Owens made a shocking main roster appearance to confront John Cena, leading to one of the most talked-about debut feuds in WWE history, where Owens defeated Cena at Elimination Chamber 2015.

Owens won the WWE Universal Championship in August 2016 with assistance from Triple H, carrying the Raw brand alongside his comedic partnership with Chris Jericho in their beloved “Jeri-KO” alliance before betraying him at the infamous “Festival of Friendship”.

He’s had memorable feuds with Roman Reigns, Shane McMahon, Braun Strowman, and faced Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38 in Austin’s first match in 19 years.

In 2023, Owens and Zayn reconciled and won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship together at WrestleMania 39, making Owens WWE’s 23rd Grand Slam Champion.

His most recent storyline saw him turn heel on Cody Rhodes in late 2024, leading to a bitter feud that lead to a ladder match at Royal Rumble 2025 and an unsanctioned match against Zayn at Elimination Chamber 2025.

Shortly after, Owens revealed he had been wrestling through a serious neck injury and underwent fusion surgery in July 2025, sidelining him indefinitely. Despite the setback, Owens remains one of the most versatile and respected performers of his generation, with fans hopeful for his return to the ring.
