Steve Corino is a Canadian-American wrestler and trainer best known for being a loud, sharp-tongued heel who leaned into an “old school” identity while working modern crowds. He debuted on April 6, 1994, and built his name on the independent circuit before becoming a major late-era Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) act.
In ECW, Corino’s “King of Old School” character attacked hardcore culture, making him a natural antagonist during ECW’s final stretch. He reached the top of the company on November 5, 2000, when he won the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, and he later dropped it to The Sandman on January 7, 2001.
After ECW, Corino stayed busy across the independents and in NWA-affiliated groups, founding the Premier Wrestling Federation (PWF) in February 2001 out of his earlier Pennsylvania Wrestling Federation. He also held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship during Major League Wrestling’s (MLW) early years. In Ring of Honor (ROH), he became a core heel presence across multiple runs, including a long rivalry with Homicide and later storylines tied to Kevin Steen and the S.C.U.M. faction.
In 2017, Corino shifted into behind-the-scenes roles with WWE as a Performance Center trainer and NXT producer. He initially retired from regular competition in 2021, but returned to the ring in late 2025 under a mask, then wrestled a singles match on February 22, 2026, winning the PWF Championship for a record seventh time and stating he will compete exclusively for PWF moving forward.
