Tarzan Tyler was a rugged, old-school heel who built his reputation on believable brawling, a nasty streak, and the famous loaded-boot gimmick that could end matches with a single kick.
He worked around the world, with peak visibility in the southern U.S. (Texas and Florida) and Quebec. He’s historically remembered as being one-half of the inaugural WWWF World Tag Team Champions with partner Luke Graham and for mentoring younger talent in his later years.
After his main in-ring run, he became a booker and then a manager in Dino Bravo’s International Wrestling before his fatal car accident in 1985.
