Leilani Kai (Patty Seymour) is best known as one of the key women’s names tied to WWF’s mid-1980s boom, but her career stretches far beyond that one spotlight run. She debuted in 1975 and worked heavily across the territory system, then built a strong résumé in Japan with All Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling.
Her most famous WWF moment came on February 18, 1985, at The War to Settle the Score, when she defeated Wendi Richter to win the WWF Women’s Championship, with The Fabulous Moolah in her corner. That reign fed directly into the Rock ’n’ Wrestling era presentation, and it ended at WrestleMania I when Richter won the title back.
Later, she became half of The Glamour Girls with Judy Martin, a team used as an established heel threat in the women’s tag scene, including runs as WWF Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Kai returned for a high-profile one-off in 1994 (including a WrestleMania X title match), and she stayed active for years after that through NWA/indie appearances, plus veteran runs in SHINE that lasted into her final match in December 2015.
