Jazz

Jazz is a former WWF/WWE Women’s Champion whose career stood out for its physical style, intensity, and credibility at a time when women’s wrestling in major U.S. promotions was still fighting for consistency and respect.

After debuting in 1998, she first gained attention in ECW as Jazzmyn, where she was aligned with the Impact Players and worked a short but memorable run that included a feud with Jason Knight. She later signed with the WWF in 2001 after time in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), debuting as Jazz and quickly moving into the Women’s Championship picture.

Her strongest national run came in WWF/WWE from 2001 to 2004. She feuded heavily with Trish Stratus and beat her to win the WWF Women’s Championship on February 4, 2002. She would hold that title through the brand change, but lose it to Stratus a week later. The following year, she made another run and became a 2-time Women’s Champion by defeating Trish Stratus and Victoria in a triple threat match on April 27, 2003.

Injuries interrupted parts of her push, but she remained one of the division’s toughest wrestlers. After leaving WWE, she continued working across independent and women’s promotions, later adding another major accomplishment by winning the NWA World Women’s Championship in 2016 and holding it for 948 days, one of the longest reigns in the title’s history.

Jazz formally retired from in-ring competition in 2021 after losing a Title vs. Career match to Deonna Purrazzo in Impact! (TNA), though she later made a one-off TNA battle royal appearance in 2025.

Since retiring, she has remained active behind the scenes, working as an NWA producer and women’s division leader, a TNA agent, and, as of February 2026, a full-time coach at the WWE Performance Center.
