Giulia, born Eimi Gloria Matsudo in London to a Japanese‑Italian family, has become one of the defining women’s wrestlers of her generation, bridging Japanese joshi and global mainstream exposure. She debuted in October 2017 for Ice Ribbon, where she teamed with Tequila Saya and captured the International Ribbon Tag Team Championship, quickly signaling that she was more than a prospect.

In late 2019, she made a controversial, high‑profile jump to World Wonder Ring Stardom, immediately aligning herself as a central figure and founding the Donna Del Mondo faction, recruiting Maika and Syuri and turning the unit into a dominant force.

Within Stardom she climbed the card rapidly, winning the 2020 Cinderella Tournament and the Wonder of Stardom Championship, then adding tag success with the Goddesses of Stardom and multiple trios reigns with the Artist of Stardom titles.

Her 2022 5-Star Grand Prix victory led to capturing Stardom’s top singles belt, the World of Stardom Championship, cementing her as the promotion’s ace. Through Bushiroad’s shared universe, she also wrestled in New Japan Pro‑Wrestling, winning the STRONG Women’s Championship at NJPW Independence Day in 2023.

In 2024, Giulia signed with WWE, first appearing in NXT, where she won the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge and then captured the NXT Women’s Championship at New Year’s Evil 2025.

She later moved to the SmackDown brand and, by early 2026, held the WWE Women’s United States Championship in her second reign, underscoring her transition from joshi standout to global television star.
