William Hobson is a heavyweight powerhouse best known to most fans as Powerhouse Hobbs, now working in WWE under the name Royce Keys. He began wrestling in 2009 after training through APW’s system, spending years on the West Coast independent scene, where he developed a wrestling style of explosive strength, short, violent bursts, and a spinebuster that looked like it could fold someone in half.
His wider breakout came in AEW starting in 2020. He first got attention as Will Hobbs, then quickly leaned into the “Powerhouse” identity and a more aggressive, intimidation-heavy presentation. This led to him winning the TNT Championship in 2023 and began pushing the “Book of Hobbs” idea as his on-screen mission statement.
Later, he shifted into major factions and higher-profile stories, including runs tied to groups like QTV and the Don Callis Family, before landing in The Opps with Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata. With them, Hobbs held the AEW World Trios Championship for a long reign that gave him consistent big-match reps and kept him positioned near the top of the card.
On January 31, 2026, he made the jump to WWE as Royce Keys, entering the Royal Rumble.
