Nikki Cross is a Scottish professional wrestler signed with WWE, currently on the SmackDown brand. Her real name is Nicola Glencross, and she was born on April 21, 1989, in Glasgow, Scotland.
Glencross began wrestling in Scotland in 2008, and she built her early name on the UK independent scene as Nikki Storm. She became a regular in Insane Championship Wrestling and Pro-Wrestling: EVE, and she also wrestled in North America for promotions like SHIMMER, Queens of Combat, and Femmes Fatales in Canada. In EVE, she won the Pro-Wrestling: EVE Championship three times, which helped make her one of the best-known UK women’s wrestlers of her era.
She signed with WWE in 2016 and debuted in NXT as Nikki Cross. In NXT, she was tied closely to the SAnitY group, which first appeared on the October 12, 2016, episode of NXT. Cross stood out in that run because her character felt unpredictable, and she wrestled with a frantic pace that made every match feel like it could spin out of control.
Cross reached WWE’s main roster in late 2018, and she soon formed a key partnership with Alexa Bliss. Together, they won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in August 2019, and they later won the belts again at WrestleMania 36 in 2020.
In 2021, Cross shifted into the Nikki A.S.H. character and had the biggest singles moment of her WWE career. She won the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, then cashed in the very next night on Raw and pinned Charlotte Flair to win the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Later that year, she teamed with Rhea Ripley and won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship again.
She also became WWE’s 24/7 Champion near the end of the title’s life, won it on the November 7, 2022, episode of Raw, then tossed the belt away backstage, and WWE deactivated the championship with Cross as the final holder.
In 2024, Cross took on a darker role on SmackDown as part of The Wyatt Sicks, where she is presented as “Abby the Witch” within the group’s theme.
In the ring, Cross mixes brawling, quick bursts of offense, and sudden dives, and she leans into chaos as part of her style. Her best-known finisher is The Purge, a swinging fisherman neckbreaker, and she also uses high-impact moves like a diving crossbody when she gets an opening.
