Thundercage Matches

A Thundercage Match is a WCW cage match held inside a large steel structure that surrounds the ring and curves inward toward the top, creating a partially enclosed, dome-like cage. The structure keeps the wrestlers contained while allowing the cage itself to be used during the match. Unlike many traditional Steel Cage Matches, escaping the cage is not the objective. WCW’s Thundercage matches were generally decided by pinfall or submission, with the exact rules and number of competitors varying from match to match.
