Bullet Club War Dogs was a New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) faction that operated from 2023 to 2026 as the main branch of Bullet Club under David Finlay. Finlay formed the group after replacing Jay White as Bullet Club’s leader and removing several longtime members who no longer fit his direction.
The original core included Finlay, Gabe Kidd, Alex Coughlin, Clark Connors, Drilla Moloney, and Finlay’s manager Gedo. The group used a more aggressive presentation than previous Bullet Club lineups, with Finlay describing his expectations through the phrase “bring gold, bring bodies.” Its members frequently attacked opponents after matches and targeted established NJPW wrestlers and factions.
The War Dogs quickly won championships across NJPW’s divisions. Finlay held the NEVER Openweight Championship and became the first IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion. Kidd and Coughlin won the IWGP Tag Team and NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Championships, while Connors and Moloney captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. Jake Lee, Robbie X, Taiji Ishimori, SANADA, and other wrestlers later joined or aligned with the group at different points.
By 2025, the War Dogs were fighting House of Torture for control of Bullet Club. The conflict ended in a Dog Pound Steel Cage match at Wrestling Dontaku on May 3, when Finlay, Kidd, Connors, Moloney, and Ishimori defeated EVIL’s team. The result forced House of Torture out of Bullet Club, leaving the War Dogs as its remaining NJPW branch.
Later that year, the War Dogs began working with Yota Tsuji, Shingo Takagi, Hiromu Takahashi, and Titán after the end of Los Ingobernables de Japón. The two groups officially merged at New Year Dash on January 5, 2026, forming Unbound Co. The merger ended both the Bullet Club and War Dogs names in NJPW after nearly three years of the War Dogs faction.
