Full Gear is an annual professional wrestling event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The series began in 2019 and has traditionally been held in November as one of AEW’s major annual pay-per-view events.
The Full Gear name originated with a storyline involving PAC and “Hangman” Adam Page. PAC appeared in his wrestling gear when he confronted Page at AEW’s January 2019 rally in Jacksonville, Florida. Being the Elite later turned the moment into a running joke, with Page appearing in his own wrestling gear and trying to become “full gear ready” for a planned match against PAC. AEW later used Full Gear as the name of its November pay-per-view.
The first Full Gear took place on November 9, 2019, in Baltimore, Maryland. Chris Jericho defended the AEW World Championship against Cody, while Jon Moxley faced Kenny Omega in an unsanctioned Lights Out Match.
Full Gear remains an active part of AEW’s annual pay-per-view schedule.
