The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) went into WrestleMania X as the WWF Tag Team Champions, with Johnny Polo backing them at ringside. Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) had Oscar in their corner and came in as a serious threat because Mabel’s size made him difficult for Jacques and Pierre to handle.
The champions tried to get the jump before the match could settle, but Mabel quickly fired back and showed why the challengers were dangerous. Once Mo was in the ring, The Quebecers took over by cutting him off from Mabel and wearing him down with quick tags and double-team moves. Mo took most of the punishment before finally making the tag, and Mabel came in with the kind of hot tag the match needed. He ran through both champions with power offense, leaving The Quebecers scrambling.
Jacques and Pierre still found openings, including a double suplex and an assisted senton that nearly put Mabel away. Men on a Mission kept coming back, though, and the champions started to look less confident as Mabel became harder to control.
Once the challengers had the momentum, Johnny Polo stepped in and made the safe choice for his team. Rather than let Jacques and Pierre risk losing the titles by pinfall, he pulled them to the floor and kept them there as the referee counted them out.
The count-out gave Men on a Mission the win, but The Quebecers escaped with the WWF Tag Team Championship. It was a cheap way out for the champions, and it kept the feud alive after WrestleMania.
