Pole Matches

A Pole Match is a match where an object is placed on top of a pole attached to one of the ring corners. The competitors fight to reach the pole and retrieve the object before their opponent. The item can be a weapon, championship, contract, or another prize depending on the stipulation. In some versions, retrieving the object immediately wins the match, while in others the wrestler must use or possess the item before the match can be finished by pinfall, submission, or another announced method.
