Bad Blood is a professional wrestling event series produced by WWE. The series began on October 5, 1997, when the World Wrestling Federation held Badd Blood: In Your House at the Kiel Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
The 1997 event was part of the In Your House series and featured the first Hell in a Cell Match between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Kane made his WWF debut during the match, entering the Cell and attacking The Undertaker before Michaels won the match.
WWE brought the name back in 2003 with the spelling changed from Badd Blood to Bad Blood. The 2003 and 2004 events were Raw-exclusive pay-per-views held during WWE’s brand split. Both shows were headlined by Hell in a Cell Matches. Triple H defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Kevin Nash in 2003, while Triple H faced Shawn Michaels in 2004.
Bad Blood did not return again for 20 years. WWE revived the event on October 5, 2024, exactly 27 years after the original show. The event took place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and featured wrestlers from Raw and SmackDown. CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell Match, while Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns teamed against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in the main event.
The series has been held four times, with events taking place in 1997, 2003, 2004, and 2024.
